BORN TO FLY

BORN TO FLY

Hugo Race’s journey is far from finished. He has channelled his restless spirit into Born To Fly, and this track showcases a side of him that is quieter and more introspective in comparison to his past work (and even some of the work of the Fatalists). Born To Fly may just be the track that introduces the world to the Fatalists. Born To Fly is unlike any other single that would be considered to fall under the rock genre. Instead, it is a gorgeous slow burn that paints a world of darkness, reflection, and hope. The Fatalists seem to be a thinking man’s rock group; they use a slow burn to draw in their listeners. They seem to prefer to let their music have weight by building it over time rather than by screaming at the top of their lungs to get your attention.

Looking at Born To Fly, we see a good amount of contrast. The song has both dim and defined electric guitars, as well as an acoustic strummed guitar and plucked bass with some soft percussion. The song has a nice bed of subtle instruments that feel both organized and serene. The independents here leave a lot of room for Race to sing, and some roots music and psychedelia with desert rock and the Euro art-house music scenes can all be found in this song. The production has a nighttime vibe that is intimate and dreamy. It is also sort of hazy. It has a lot of depth and space for all instruments to be present, and it has a relaxing, cinematic feel to it.

The centerpiece of the sound collage Born To Fly is Race’s embodied vocal performance. Race curiously merges strength and fragility. His low voice brings a lot of the emotionally rich character to this song. He does not overly manipulate the song. Instead, his performance comes across as refined, as if each line has been meditated on and the words have been folksy in nature. This obvious restraint he possesses actually becomes an essential part of the song. His voice has some grit to it, and because of the softer instrumentation, it’s able to shine while at the same time maintaining an enormous amount of life. There is a great deal of nostalgic songwriting and lyricism present. Though he brings a level of fresh vocal performance that reflects his own experiences. This brings a great deal of depth to the song.

Born To Fly encapsulates the majority of the other songs on I Made It All Up For You. This album is mostly devoted to themes of the darkness and light of transformation and the end and beginning of cycles, and especially the emotional side. The song does not try to distill hope into simplicity and sentimentality. Race seems to understand that hope can be birthed in difficult and challenging places. This song’s intimacy comes from this perspective. This song has a great deal of melancholy present, though it is not overly consumed by sadness. The song is built to be interpreted and experienced by the listener, and in a great deal of reflective music this is always a great sign. For those drawn to this kind of music, Born To Fly is definitely worth a listen.

Born To Fly is one of the songs from I Made It All Up For You that is about transformation and the cyclical nature of darkness and light. This album is also about endings and new beginnings. The Darkness includes feelings of sadness and pain, but sadness and pain in Darkness will never defeat Born To Fly. The melancholy will help you reflect on your past while helping you look forward to the future. The song has a feeling of suspense that will help you add your own feelings and experiences to the song. This song is amazing and can feel very powerful when your mind and body feel very calm. If you ever feel alone and like you have a strong need to reflect, then this song is for you because it has deep meaning and will help you understand your emotions.

The deep emotions and meanings in this song extend outside the song and into the music video. The simple videos and psychedelic music come together to create a feeling of darkness and light. The music video also has very simple images and does not decorate the song with decorations. The song relies on everything that you see and hear. Born To Fly has powerful meaning and encourages deep emotions. Mixing the song with calm lake music and ambiance really helps immerse you in the nature of the song. Born To Fly will help you feel powerful and calm, it will help you focus and relax.

Born To Fly is the perfect example of Hugo Race Fatalists’ talent to create timeless music through evolving styles. The track combines roots rock with elements of psychedelic music and a cinematic production, complemented by Race’s weathered vocal. Nowadays, stylistic diversity and a fast-paced consumer-centred music scene have made it difficult to create music that stands out, but Born To Fly does just that. The song has a sense of atmosphere that draws the listener in and lingers well beyond the track’s duration, which has earned it its memorable status. If you’re looking for a song with a deep, dark, and thoughtful emotional atmosphere, Born To Fly is a must-have for your playlists and will certainly add value to your quiet moments.
