LIFESIZE TEDDY

Lifesize Teddy’s EP is like a breath of fresh air for Afropop, mixing Lagos and London vibes just right. Growing up between Bonny Island and Lagos, Teddy’s music is packed with different experiences, so she switches between feelings and styles easily. Through the whole EP, she shows she can do it all, going from chill tropical sounds to upbeat club songs without missing a beat.

Air is a standout chill afro-soul song on the EP. The light music makes you feel nostalgic, like sunny days in Lagos. Teddy sounds awesome here, rapping and singing smoothly, kind of like Little Simz. She's consistent and flows great over the easygoing music.

Then there's Hypnotic, where Teddy goes dark and clubby. The fast beat and catchy chorus are perfect for parties. She raps better here, sounding more American but still slick and confident like African artists. This song proves she can handle different types of sounds.

Butterflies is another great one, pure Afropop with catchy tunes that are ready for the radio. It's perfect for relaxed parties and listening over and over. Teddy's vocals are some of the best here, with layered flows that you'll want to hear again. The song feels personal and celebratory, showing she can make music that hits you in different ways.

John Wick goes even harder into Afrobeats, as you can hear Teddy’s street smarts and bold style. Around 1:25, her flow has a fun swagger, like NSG or Kcee, with a real African way of riding the beat. This song shows she’s not afraid to try different vocal styles while staying true to her roots.

She wraps it up with Prophecy, where Teddy shares her dreams and how she is charting her own path. When she sings, “I’m a living prophecy,” you feel inspired, and the EP seems, not just like a bunch of songs but a statement about who she is. All in all, Lifesize Teddy does what she does best, picks beats that fit her, and proves she can make music for the radio, playlists, and clubs. This solid debut shows she’s going to be big in Afropop.
